Church Letter 5-13-20

May 13, 2020

God’s many blessings to you!

We hope and pray that everyone is doing well. The past couple of months has definitely been a journey. With this Covid 19 virus it has changed a lot of our plans, vacations, and events. But by the grace of our Lord we will get through this. Perhaps, we have had the opportunity to spend more time with the Lord in His presence and seeking His face. Time with God is never time wasted and is necessary for the Christian. This is the place we are spiritually renewed and strengthened! Thank God we are saved by grace through faith! I’m thankful that through His blood we have redemption. I pray that we can keep our spiritual sights on the Lord! God will guide and direct our every step.

With that being said, we are planning on taking small steps to gradually open up the doors at Word of Life. We are anxious to get back, but at the same time we need to use wisdom and caution. We are planning on having our first service this Sunday morning at 10:30. At the present time we will not be having Sunday School or Children’s Church. We also won’t be having Sunday night service. Our plan is to have small group meetings with our men & women’s bible studies, along with our youth and college class. They will be meeting at the church at different times. We will have to hold off on our Wednesday night services because we can’t allow all the children to come back at the moment. We are looking at possibly teaching our Wednesday night bible study (WOLBI) on Sunday nights starting May 31.

If you need a ride to the church, please be sure to call and leave a message on the answering machine by Saturday night. For everyone’s safety we are asking that we refrain from handshakes and hugs. Please try to keep the social distance of at least 6 feet away from each other. The pews are marked where people can and cannot sit. If you would like to wear a mask that would be fine.

Again, hopefully these are just temporary changes that we have put into place for now. Being that these are somewhat challenging and difficult days, please be patient and understanding. Know that what we are doing is for everyone’s health and safety. We love each and every one of you and do not want anyone to become infected with this contagious virus. But at the same time, I pray that none of us are driven by fear. So, use judgment as what is best for you and your family. Things can change at a moment’s notice so we will do our best to keep everyone informed and updated.

After each service we will be wiping down everything with Clorox wipes and spraying down the sanctuary with Lysol. Please continue to pray asking God’s protection as we move forward. We hope to see you this Sunday for morning worship!

God bless you,

Pastor Mark
